27th EARSeL Symposium: “Geoinformation in Europe”.

“GeoInformation in Europe”
The title of the 27th EARSeL Symposium, “GeoInformation in Europe” reflects the broadening scope and deeper integration of diverse technologies towards the better management of European resources and a recognition of the need to develop ways to foster and strengthen these developments through various European initiatives including GeoInformation, INSPIRE, Galileo, GMES, GEOSS, etc., considering also the opportunities given by the 7th European Community Framework Programme (2007-2013) specifically in the Themes 3. Innovation Communication Technology, 6. Environment and Global Change and 9. Space and Security.
EARSeL encourages the presentation of Abstracts respecting the deadlines of the Symposium (November 24th, 2006) and of the Workshops (see http://www.earsel.org/).
The symposium will be followed by 4 workshops:
- Tools and Techniques for the Analysis of Time Series Image Data. 7-8 June 2007, Bolzano
- Remote Sensing and the Coastal Zone: from Inland to Marine Waters. 7-9 June 2007, Bolzano.
- GMES. 7-8 June 2007, Bolzano.
- Geologic Hazards in Mountainous Areas, with excursion to the Dolomites. 8-9 June 2007
On Saturday, June 9th, 2007, two alternative excursions will be organized on the Garda Lake and to the Dolomites, with technical Guides and maps.
Having received quite a number of requests for an extended abstract submission deadline for the forthcoming 27th EARSeL Symposium “GeoInformation in Europe” in Bolzano, Italy we have decided to extend the abstract submission date for the Symposium until
SUNDAY, 10 DECEMBER 2006.
Abstract submission deadlines for the four accompanying workshops on
- “Tools and Techniques for the Analysis of Time Series Image Data”, 7-8 June 2007
- “GMES, Global Monitoring for Environment and Security”, 7-8 June 2007
- “Coastal Zone Remote Sensing”, 7-9 June 2007
- “Geological Hazards in Mountainous Areas”, 8-9 June 2007
now have been set to – MONDAY, 5 February 2007.
