The subject is a high-priority topic in the Mediterranean region. Risk reduction using remote sensing techniques may be very helpful in various applications. Identification of relevant space-based and airborne information for Disaster Management Support and Emergency Response is a major issue.
The conference is to provide an international forum bringing together experts from different remote sensing and GIS branches as well as from disaster management. The conference will cover several stages in risk management, such as knowledge, prevention, warning, management of emergency situations, post-analysis of crisis, environmental rehabilitation, etc.
