MAT SIG Annual Report 2002-2003
MATSIG are organising a session at the 7th International Conference on GeoComputation to be held at Southampton on the 8th to 10th of September. The session is being is being chaired by Giles Foody and Peter Atkinson and is entitled ‘Remote Sensing Change’. The aims is to cover topics in remote sensing that involve a temporal dimension including detection of land cover change, monitoring sub-pixel change, assessing the accuracy of change detection products and uncertainty in change detection. Selected papers from the session will be published in a refereed volume with those from other special sessions held at the meeting.
The other important development this year is that is that Nick Drake has retired as MATSIG convenor and Peter North has taken the helm.
