Ocean Colour SIG Annual Report 2003-2004
The SIG organised a one-day symposium in London on 16 July 2003 titled “Sensing and Mapping the Marine Environment: from near and far”. The symposium was well attended, with over 20 members and 15 non-members. Two participants crossed the Atlantic – from Canada and the USA. A second meeting is planned for the spring/summer of 2005.
The SIG is also affiliated to the Challenger Society for Marine Science (CSMS) and so will present a poster at its 11th biennial conference in Liverpool (13th – 17th September 2004) to promote the SIG and its activities.
