Ocean Colour SIG Annual Report 2005-2006
The Ocean Colour SIG organised a session at the RSPSoc 2005 Annual Conference in conjunction with ISPRS Working Group VIII.6 (Coastal Zones Management, Ocean Colour and Ocean State Forecasting). Prof. Jan-Peter Muller gave an inspiring keynote lecture on the “The potential of spaceborne monitoring of tsunami characteristics and their impact on coastal regions: lessons learnt from the Boxing Day Indian Ocean tsunami”. Further linkages will occur this forthcoming September when I will jointly run a coastal remote sensing workshop prior to the ISPRS Technical Commission VIII Mid-Congress Symposium (4-7 September 2006). The plans for 2007 are to have a spring meeting and session at the RSPSoc 2007 Annual Conference.
