Ocean Colour SIG Annual Report 2007-2008
On the 16th July 2007, the SIG organized “Sensing and Mapping the Marine Environment 3” at the Geological Society in London. Unfortunately, the relatively small attendance (less than 20) and the cost of room hire means that this meeting didn’t make a surplus. However, those that attended found it useful so consideration will be given to the room cost when booking future events. The SIG then organised a joint ISPRS WG (VIII.6 on Coastal Zones Management, Ocean Colour and Ocean State Forecasting) session at the RSPSoc 2007 Annual Conference. In addition the SIG also supported a one day meeting title “Hydrological Optics 2008” that was held on 28th March 2008 at the Institute of Physics, London. There are plans for another session at RSPSoc 2008.
