SAR Sig Annual Report 2007-2008
SARSIG ran a session at the Annual Conference in Newcastle which showed good interest in the topic. The main activity outside the Annual Conference was to help organise a 2-day conference in collaboration with GRSG and MATSIG on the applications of radar. This meeting did not take place in the end – although there was plenty of encouragement from senior members of the communities involved.
The impetus for this meeting came from discussions with the UK radar community, which had identified a need for a meeting to bring together radar technologists and applications experts, and to share recent developments and current interests in their respective fields. This need still exists and we are now discussing how best to organise a meeting for 2009.
